The purpose of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton-St Andrew and St. Veronica Family of Faith Program is to support and enhance the religious formation of children that takes place in the family.
The Catholic Church has long honored parents as the first and most influential teachers of the faith to their children. After the last year of Covid we are incorporating a combination of live catechist led sessions with the new delivery method that put parents in the driver’s seat, where they should be. Parents will still be able to make decisions about faith-based instruction to suit their particular family.
The Children’s Faith Formation Office remains eager to help parents, children, catechists and all people invested in the formation of children.
This new way of providing Faith Formation for grade school age children is being implemented that will work with current parameters in the parish, needs of families, and changes coming from the archdiocese that will impact all parishes in the 19 county region. A combination of monthly in-person learning paired with at-home learning will take place. We will schedule the monthly gatherings on Sunday morning to be convenient for both catechists, students and parents. There will be a parent piece for each of these monthly gatherings to assist you in your most important role.
