Dear Parishioners:
At Sunday Mass, we heard this Prayer over the Gifts:
"God of mercy, accept our offering and make it a source of blessing for us.'"
As pastor, once a year, I ask that all parishioners make an offering to the Lord, by making a sacrificial commitment to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. It is a source of great blessing to be able to give back to the Lord a share of God's many gifts that He has given to us. Doing so helps us continue the work of Jesus Christ here in our local community.
I ask that you prayerfully discern your commitment of time, talent and treasure to the parish. Participating in a parish ministry or activity will bring you rewards and happiness, and will bring the gift of your time and talent to our parish. For your commitment of treasure, I ask that if your income has increased, if possible, increase your financial pledge; if your income has decrease, if needed, reduce your financial pledge.
You have an opportunity to use automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account for your Offertory gift, or to continue to make contributions by check or cash in the Sunday collection basket. Either way, please continue to use your Sunday envelopes.
Only with you continuing and hopefully growing commitment, can we thrive as a parish community.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Michael L. Cordier, Pastor |
