Marian Moms
September 8, 2021 through May 25, 2022
Wednesdays: 12:00-1:15 pm in the Wenzel Room
Wednesday morning gathering is for women with school-age children, toddlers and babies. These meetings provide fellowship, study and prayer for women who share the bond of motherhood and who are at home caring for little ones. It is really OK if you have a toddler who will wander around the room or an infant who may fuss, need to be nursed or a diaper change. Sometimes the mornings are noisy and sometimes we don’t finish our lesson, but we support and love each other. Come and see. For more information, please call Elizabeth Riesser Otte, CRE at (513) 882-6515.
True Devotion to Mary:
"Total Consecration to Jesus, through Mary."
August 31, 2021 through May 31, 2022
2nd & 4th Tuesdays: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm in the Wenzel Room - Schedule
This nine-month course/study group leads you through St. Louis de Montfort's spiritual classic, True Devotion to Mary, a book that is considered by many to be the greatest single book of Marian spirituality ever written. The main goal of this study is to consecrate ourselves totally to Jesus through the heart of Mary. St. Louis de Montfort explains that Jesus came into the world through Mary, and therefore we should imitate him by going through Mary. This study has influenced countless souls, including St. Pope John Paul II who called it a “decisive turning point” in his life and where his papal motto, “Totus Tuus”, was taken from. The course is presented through DVDs and includes a thorough look at the Church’s teaching on Mariology including Marian Dogmas, Vatican Councils, and numerous Marian Saints. Study sheets are provided.
You are welcome to join us at any time during the year. You can attend just one or as many meetings time allows. Participants often remark that they hear “exactly what I needed to hear” even if they are only able to attend a handful of sessions. Consecration is strongly encouraged even if meetings are missed. The True Devotion to Mary book (Father Faber translation is best) can be purchased at the Catholic Shop in Madeira or online.
